Challenger Learning Center of Colorado is owned and operated by the Colorado Consortium for Earth and Space Science Education (CCESSE). Annually, CCESSE serves almost 20,000 eager learners in the Rocky Mountain Region and beyond, through its trademark Challenger Space Simulations, with distance learning programs, portable planetarium shows, STEM-themed summer camps, and community events. It takes the dedication of a small team of educators, but it also takes community resources to support this innovative, informal science education initiative.
CCESSE is not a grant-making organization, but we do solicit financial support from individual donors, state and federal government, foundations, and corporations. We achieve change one student at a time. As Plutarch said, “the mind is a fire to be kindled, not a vessel to be filled.”
