X-WR-CALDESC:You won’t want to miss out on the next fantastic Second Saturd
ay Science scheduled for November 14. We will once again be co-sponsoring
the event with Space Foundation Discovery Center (held at Challenger Learn
ing Center) to provide guests with an out of this world FREE family-friend
ly STEM experience. \n\nThe Artemis space program is designed to support N
ASA’s “Moon to Mars” campaign. After first returning to the moon\, NASA pl
ans to next send humans to Mars. In August our Second Saturday Science fe
atured the moon. Now\, like NASA\, we’re going to Mars! Come learn all a
bout Earth’s next-door neighbor - the rocky\, red planet that will be the
first body in space beyond the moon to host humans in person. Today’s stu
dents will be the generation to eventually step foot on this planet. Let’s
start their training NOW! Meet Me on Mars will feature a variety of STEM-
based activities designed to expand your knowledge of the red planet\, inc
luding a planetarium show in which guests will travel to Mars. Guests may
also assemble and launch a 3D printed rocket. Plan on spending at least a
n hour at the center working through activities and viewing your planetari
um presentation.\n\nThis event is free for families\, but registration is
required to ensure a spot in the planetarium.\n\nSecond Saturday Science a
t Challenger Colorado is about giving families time to do science together
. We provide hands-on\, content-rich activities designed to encourage thou
ghtful engagement\, teamwork\, critical thinking\, and problem solving amo
ng family members.\n\n(Note: While we do plan to launch rockets without an
y trouble\, due to changing burn restrictions and permits\, there is a pos
sibility that the launch could be canceled last minute.)
