Second Saturday Science
Come out and join us this October as we partner with Space Foundation and the Colorado Springs Rocket Society for our fun and free family event. Second Saturday Science at Challenger Colorado is about giving families time to do science together. We provide hands-on, content-rich activities designed to encourage thoughtful engagement, teamwork, critical thinking, and problem solving among family members. This Saturday we will be focusing on "Rocket Revolution"
Families can attend this free, open-house style event where they will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on rocketry activities and demonstrations, join an educator-driven show in our planetarium, and build and launch their own 3D printed rocket with an Estes engine. Plan on spending at least an hour at the center working through activities and viewing your planetarium presentation.
This event is free for families, but registration is required to ensure a spot in the planetarium.
(Note: While we do plan to launch rockets without any trouble, due to changing burn restrictions and permits, there is a possibility that the launch could be canceled last minute.)
