Boot Camp

BOOT CAMP 2024

You do not have to be a "science teacher" to bring exciting STEM concepts to life.

Join us for a 2.5-day, in-person STEM Boot Camp where we share ideas, lessons, and connections for integrating science, technology, engineering and math into your full school-year curriculum. Sessions and topics are selected to demonstrate that STEM is everywhere and can be woven throughout multiple subjects already being taught in your classroom.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, teachers will learn about ways to share STEM through exciting lesson options and materials that bring STEM to life in the classroom, with minimal prep time and relatively-easy integration.

On Thursday, teachers will have the option to attend their own field trip* - flying a mission at Challenger, a hike and a tour at the Air Force Academy, learning the behind the scenes of Colorado Springs Utilities Treatment facilities, or hearing about Pike's Peak's new Ranger-offered student field trip options.

Certificates for professional development will be provided, 14 hours for 2-day workshop and 18 for those who attend an optional field trip.
